What we should know first is that led lamp is “an electric light that produces light using light-emitting diodes (LEDs)”(from wikipedia) which will be efficient by groups but not by one unit only. As led’s rival, by contrast, the fluorescent lamps are composed of mercury and emit harmful UV ray, even if more ecological than traditional incandescent bulbs. Thanks to the advantage of low energy consumption, the led lamps have replaced considerably the traditional incandescent bulbs and fluorescent lamps, more widely used in daily life. As the produced heat is related to the diodes, the led offers excellent energy efficiency (between 40 and 80 lumens per watt) so for this reason plus the price that has dropped by 20% in a few years, it offers the cheapest choice of the lighting market, making it accessible to all budgets.
Unfortunately, Led Light is a double-edged sword.
Despite the energy economy for use, it is particularly energy-intensive during the manufacturing process of LED products on whose creation and end-of-life the International Energy Agency points out certain impacts . The applied materials, such as galium and indium, not only do not recycle, but disappear in sight. Then that is why LEDs are not recyclable. The recyclable alternative materials should be paied most attention in the future in order to allow LEDs to be helpful to protect the environment.
Research is going ahead , science is making progress so problem is piece of cake. Believe confidently in LED’s completely environment-firendly future.
