ams Osram is refocusing on optical technology, aiming to achieve a pre-tax profit margin of more than 20% in 2022 and a turnover of 460-52 million euros by 2024. At the Capital Markets Day (CMD) earlier this month, ams Osram outlined this goal in a statement.

In March 2021, ams and Osram went through a year of operational control after the acquisition and merger, and gradually disposed of Osram's original non-core strategic assets, reorganized the company's product portfolio and upgraded its business structure. The combined company presents a strategy of "becoming a leader in optical solutions" and outlines key drivers for creating sustained long-term value.

In order to promote the realization of these strategic goals, the company plans to build a new 8-inch LED front-end factory on the basis of the existing LED factory in Kulim, Malaysia in the next 18-24 months to expand higher-end and more sophisticated advanced LEDs and Micro LEDs. technical capacity. The new investment is expected to reach around 800 million euros (about 5.554 billion yuan). In addition, ams Osram plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030.
