Ams Osram Plans To Expand LED Factory in Malaysia

ams Osram is refocusing on optical technology, aiming to achieve a pre-tax profit margin of more than 20% in 2022 and a turnover of 460-52 million euros by 2024. At the Capital Markets Day (CMD) earlier this month, ams Osram outlined this goal in a statement.

In order to promote the realization of these strategic goals, the company plans to build a new 8-inch LED front-end factory on the basis of the existing LED factory in Kulim, Malaysia in the next 18-24 months to expand higher-end and more sophisticated advanced LEDs and Micro LEDs. technical capacity.
